My 14 year old Seiko quartz has recently developed a patch of condensation under the glass. At times it disappears and at other times it is quite large. I haven't got the watch wet recently apart from the odd possible splash when washing hands etc. It keeps perfect time still so my question is:- Is there any way of permanently getting rid of the condensation or should I just bite the bullet and buy a new watch (definitely another Seiko - this one has been brilliant. Its led a hard life being worn every day and in all sorts of conditions)?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Just open the back, lay it somewhere warm (on your computer perhaps?) over night.
Screw the back on in the morning and any moisture in the watch should be gone.
It has worked for me on several occasions.

Agree, or (know it's the wrong time of the year) stick it on a radiator. That worked for an old Seiko quartz of mine.

Yeah, you need to get it dried out. I think the water inside the watch can cause parts to rust in the long run. Stick it on a window sill if it's really sunny.
