Rarely use my M37DAB so gutted that after 2 years of light action it's flashing up "V PROT" and switching itself off. I've done the microprocessor reset procedure to no avail.

Anyone know what Denon are like for out of warranty good-will? Or any tips for fixing this?

Hello, I can't help I'm afraid but someone on http://www.avforums.com/ might be able to help.

Best of luck, i hope you get it sorted. There's nothing worse than a relatively new bit of kit failing (if it has).

sounds like the protection circuit has stuck on, Denon receivers are quite well known for this fault- I'm surprised they haven't sorted it yet. I've had two Denon receivers that both did this, very annoying. You could try switching it off and unplugging it from the mains overnight, if that doesn't work it shouldn't be too expensive a fix. I had Panasonic honour a 1 month out of guarantee fault, but 2 years I would still try kicking up a fuss as I'm sure Denon know they've got an issue with protection circuits. Old (80's/90's) Denon gear is very good, I wouldn't buy any of their new stuff now.
