Charity Volunteers?

Not sure which forum this really belongs in, but let's start here...!

So, i'm 27 and work as a young(ish) professional in London. I've done this for 5 years and whilst i enjoy my work, frankly i've had a nagging feeling for a while that i could be doing something a bit more worthwhile.

In the past i've taught disabled people to sail and have raised money for various courses.

I'm not proposing leaving my job, more something that i could contribute to a couple of times a month. Ideally, i'd love to do something to help people who are disadvantaged or those who didn't benefit from the start in life that i did.

So i just wondered whether any of the PH massive do similar and if so, how they find it? (no need to mention specific charities if you'd rather not, i'm just looking for a people's experiences. (i no longer sail before someone suggests going back to that!)

This subject was discussed yesterday. Strangely, I've noticed a variety of topics appearing one after the other after. I bet you saw the title and it jiggled about in your head for a few hours.

How very bizarre! Didn't actually see that thread, this has been jiggling about in my head rather longer than that!
