Sorry - What car.
Discussion
Just had my insurance renewal through and it's gone from slightly ridiculous (but affordable) last year, to utterly stupid (and not affordable) this year. No one else wants to touch me
So it looks like the car is going to have to go.
I'm thinking of trying out bangernomics because, well, it looks fun.
I'm just trying to get a feel for insurance costs at the moment, so looking at various cars and running them through confused.com.
So far;
Rover 25/45 - (LOADS with good mileage in my area) 500-600 FC. Prices seem pretty much the same for 1.4/1.6 and 1.8.
Seat Leon (1.4) - £700-800 FC.
Volvo T5 - £450 FC.
£700 is my top limit. I'm 23, and have 4 years NCB. And I'm a girl (which no longer seems to help at all).
So, what would we reccomend? £1000 tops for the car, and £700 tops for ins.
Go!

If you're thinking classic, then what sort of roads are you using? A classic car with an overdrive box e.g. MG B, spitfire, capri sort of thing will be fine with that but a midget / morris minor / less so.
Personally, I'd have a wee look at a capri or a spitfire. Easy to get bits for, easy to fix, good fun. Don't have to be quick to be fun.
