the 525i m sport touring was pants last year so trying to get organised this year so my wife can do the nursery run with more peace of mind

want to keep the offsets the same but wondering what a good compromise solution is in terms of cost and performance?

do i go 17" steel wheel or 16" alloy wheel? currently runs the standard 17" cross spoke style wheels with falken 452

ive seen a lot of sets on ebay but not quite sure what the easiest route is to ensure that offsets and geo etc remain as close to factory spec as possible

ok so how about a set of 16" turbines given that they are so cheap anyway?

does anyone know if i can bolt them on without spacers etc

I run 16" turbines with winter tyres with no problem, you shouldn't have any problems.

Use the guide on this page to work out what tyres you'll need with different sized wheels, then find out which option is going to be most economical.

I stuck same size tyres on my 17's last year and it was fine. Cost me £20 for the change back in spring. Saves looking like a poverty spec. for 4/5 months of the year.
