Hi all, been lurking around here for a while as I'm currently on the lookout for a new watch. I've just ploughed through all 89 pages of the "wrist Check" thread looking for some inspiration and couple, (OK more than a couple) have caught my eye. It's also obvious from the thread that there are a number of you lot that know a thing or two.

I'm interested in either a Sinn or a Stowa at the moment, but I'm not sure where I can find a high street retailer where I can see them in the flesh and of course try them on. After all it's all very well looking at pictures.

Can anyone suggest somewhere? If it helps I'm based in the midlands.

Thanks

Trying before buying is going to be a bit tricky with any Stowa, pretty sure that it's internet only as has already been said. They do make a very sort after range of watches and are supposed to be great to deal with though you will have a waiting time for any order, I think it's typically 3 months or so, but then you will get a watch built to order, so to speak. I enquired about an MO a good while back, I never ended up pulling the trigger but their responses to my emails were prompt and professional.

Jura (for Sinn) offer a service whereby you can send the watch back within a certain time period if you don't fancy it for no penalty, never used them myself but they do have a good rep. They have a showroom in Mayfair but if you ever find yourself that way give them a call before popping in as I *think* that they don't always carry every model in stock.

Thanks for the input guys. I was struggling to find anything other than the online ordering direct from Stowa, and I had found the Jura site earlier yesterday.

Thanks for the head's up Andy. I had seen TZ mentioned quite a few times in the Watch Check forum, but being a newbie, (on the watch front), I didn't know what they were talking about.

Had a look at the Marine Original (once i'd worked out what MO meant!) and it's very nice, but not sure it's the one thatI want. I was kinda veering towards a Flieger Baumuster B or Flieger Chrono TBH.

Have a look at hazmatman 's post about 3/4 of the way down this thread if you want some Sinn photos that will really make you drool! http://www.thedivewatchconnection.com/forum/viewto...

Got to say I'm completely smitten with the Flieger Chronograph Second Time Zone 103 Ti Ar UTC SN-119 - http://www.jurawatches.co.uk/sinn-flieger-chronogr... - not sure I can find the £2250 right now though frown
