Moderation in GG

I was struck this morning that JAYB basically got into a passive aggressive argument with the poster, implied they were an idiot, etc...

I'm all for active moderation but it took JAYB a while to say they were a mod (and the OP reported the thread, which of course went to JAYB) and it crossed a bit of a line?

I thought the process was any issues went to sin bin or parc ferme for a 1:1 chat? In this case I don't think either side covered themselves in glory, but mods are supposed to do just that - discretely moderate - not get into arguments?

There is a possibility, I've never had a problem with him but he does seem to enjoy "throwing his weight around".

A month or so ago, I reported one of JAYB's posts. I didn't realise he was a mod or I'd have not bothered.

The least JAYB can do is apologise to the OP for his behaviour. She did nothing wrong in my opinion and dealt with the situation very well.
