What's the point?
Discussion
I find an independent jeweler which advertises a fully qualified Rolex Repairer / watch-smith on staff, which is exactly what I need.
I tell them that I need a couple of watches attending to
All I want is a Sub regulating as it is running a little fast then reseal & a new bezel insert supplying & fitting to my Yachtmaster (polishing incident)
Neither watch needs the full Rolex experience of returning like new, as both already in that condition except the minor issues above, which I could leave alone really, but they are starting to bug me a little.
And I get this as a reply
"The service prices for the model you mentioned start at £430.00 for a standard model and £645.00 for a classic model, and additional work would be extra. It is advisable that we send the watches to Rolex for a quotation which will take approximately 3 weeks, the work normally takes approximately 14 weeks from date of proceed"
So what's the point of having an in-house guy who can't take on the simplest of tasks? And I didn't ask about servicing, if I did, it would have been fine and I wouldn't be venting my spleen here
Also due to the long wait times at Rolex this means If they go in next week, I'm more then likely to be without them until next year!
Ahh and relax, thanks for reading.
If anyone know a good Rolex guy in the Nottingham area, details would be most appreciated.
