Discussion
Not gonna post on the thread in question, cos I really can't be arsed getting into a 'net fight, but one or two posts about the Ferrari wheel coming to the 360 (and I believe already on PS3?) seem to be harking back to the daily wail-esque 40y/o virgin/geek/go out and meet a girl etc... Thought we may have got past it, but maybe not.
Anywho, I'm 37, have a wife, child and a mortgage, which is about as grown-up as I intend to get.
Oh, and I'm probably looking forward to FM4 too much!
Gaming's just another passtime, to me, as valid as participation sport, movies, novels etc (all of which I enjoy also).
So, how old are you folks? There's gotta be an advance on 37!

34, been playing games since the spectrum 48k. Like you just a pass time and does not take much of my time up. I have a life. But still enjoy it.
As for steering wheels. I would rather get out on the bike or car on track for my other rush. A pad will do for me
Forz4 should be fun, also the new batman game. loved the last one. and BF3 and the new MW3 also
Lol even my mum at 55 has a Wii and uses her Ipad for games also.
One thing that makes me feel old, having young people saying" they won't buy a game unless is has online multiplayer" christ how lucky they are. online gaming 10 years ago was not fun if you could get on.

39. Not a virgin. But not sure I'd say I'm a gamer even if I do play them a lot (average 1 hour a day given that I don't touch BF2 for a couple of days in a row but might do a 2-3 hour stint if I fancy it and have the time) and I wouldn't list it as an interest much like someone wouldn't list "watching TV" as a pastime unless they're trying to pad out a CV or a dating profile. I mean, I put more time into various sports than playing computer games. Also, I tend to only play one game even if I have a stack of games in the corner... I just keep coming back to BF2.
Hhmmmm and I thought I was well past the typical PH massive @ 30years of age!
It's another form of entertainment and a bloody good one too. It must be in the blood though, my father has retired and is nigh on addicted to fallout 3 and a few others - dungeons and dragons without the effort as he calls it

31, been playing since I was 5 and got a Spectrum 128k from Santa.
It really pisses me off that some people can be so judgmental about games and gamers like that. Ok, there are extremes like World of Warcraft but they aren't hurting anyone. The reason I still play games is primarily because it's the best way for me to spend my spare time. TV on the whole is s**t nowadays and going to the pub to watch football just bores the hell out of me.
If I had the money and the space, I would have a proper wheel and race setup, regardless of what the judgmental dinosaurs think.

39, like others above started on a Spectrum (after a few goes on mates ZX81!!), then Amiga including the joy of Sensible Soccer, couple of consoles then onto PC games, the usual suspects of FPS starting with Deus Ex, now lose at a rapid rate on COD 2 to 12 year olds; Championship Manager in various issues since 97/98 I think, 4 years of playing Eve Online.
Was enjoying being champion gamer in my own house but can't beat my 7 year old at Mario Kart on Wii and 10 year old tuts lots when I try and play Lego Star Wars III. Have just got Goldeneye on Wii so will probably get hammered at that on multi player.
Age.....it's a terrible thing!

42 and making up for lost time (my parents never let me have an Atari!)
As said before just another pastime.....though occasionally a really good session of COD or a tricky paint / tune in Forza can keep me up until the early hours.....but after a crap day in the office blowing s
t up helps...lots

I've got a wheel set up for GT and Forza, using a wheelstand pro, its ace once you get into it but I prefer the pad, pick up and jump in style.
