Anyone know this Tuscan
Discussion
Depends where the rebuild was done and to what degree plus subsequent warranty. Str8six, Power or RG look to be the market leaders. General warranty from TVR MADS will be 3rd party provided if still the same as when I bought mine 20 months ago- was ok but not as good as a specialist backed jobbie. PM if you want more info on dealer experience. Cheers.

I don't get it? It's just a dark green right?
I think the reference is to the interior colour selection. However, with a lot of TVR's the colour combinations can be a bit "marmite"
As mentioned above make sure you find out who did the engine rebuild and what warranty this comes with, if any. If the rebuild has been done by a reknowned firm then any warranty offered with it will be transferable to a new owner, but this is not always the case from previous posts on PH about speed 6 rebuilds. I believe TVR Power and STR8SIX do allow the warranty transfer subject to you recording your ownership with them and having the car serviced with them (or someone they recommend) during the warranty period.
Bottom line is that if you are happy with the condition of the car, history and deal offered by garage you should buy it. TVR's are an individual thing

I recall enquiring about this car back in June when I was on the lookout - I did ask about the rebuild and from memory the details were a bit vague - but I believe there is a receipt for £4.5k for it.
It was up for the same price back then too. In the end I couldn't find any outfits to match the interior so didn't pursue it further

Think this was on the market when I was looking back in May, didn't even ring cause I didn't like the colour.
Having said that, ended up buying one in purple .... which is colour I'd have usually thought I'd like even less. Tuscan pictures never seem to quite convey the WOW factor you get when you see them in the flesh.

The reputable companies mentioned offer a warranty because they are confident enough in their work that they are sure you wont actually need it.I had my engine rebuilt by TVR Power at 60,000 miles as it was getting noisy and not the noises we like. 100,000 miles later and Power have just looked at it again, replacing some parts but generally giving it a clean bill of health. As I left Dom said 'see you at quarter of a million miles'.
The reputable companies have their reputations for the quality of their work. I use TVR Power not because of the warranty but because I expect they'll do a great job. Not used them but STR8SIX are also held in high esteem. If either of these companies rebuilt the engine that would be more important to me than the warranty it came with.
