Get Battlefield, Bad Company 2. If you buy it then you get access to all the maps (you could also buy the vietnam pack if you liked) and away you go.

However, don't be shocked if you then decide to buy BF3 as well or even instead of MW3.......

Oh yes.

You can fly choppers. You can drive Quads, Tanks, Jeeps. You can use AAA Guns, Mounted Machine Guns, Mounted Rocket launchers.

You can play with C4, RPGs, Tracer Darts, AT mines etc. You can destroy buildings, trees, and even the ground (which means you have a nice crate to hit another AT mine in!).

You can be a medic and revive fallen team mates (or kill an enemy with a defibrilator), you can be an assaulter and drop ammo for your team, you can be an engineer and repair (or even destroy!) vehicles.

Do a search for some BF2:BC gameplay on-line (you will see people putting loads of C4 under a quad bike and blowing it sky high as well!!!).

There really is just so much you can do, so many ways to kill people (drop a building, the people inside die) it is superb fun. It's more of a team game than a run around and shoot everything kind of game.

Gears of War 3 is out in a few weeks. After playing the beta, it's definitely going to be the biggest game of the year for me.

EDIT: I now notice you said PS3.... As you were.

That may be true but the OP has a ps3


As for BC2. Highly recommend it. great game. (if you want a taste im sure there is a demo on PSN.)
