They have appeared from nowhere. How can I get rid of them, without killing them?

Cheers

Shouldn't this be in the "All Creatures Great and Small" area? It seems that's where all the killing animals threads migrate to.

Get a trap that squashes the buggers. Got rid of mine in one night. Good bloody riddance.

You can get smoke cartridges which claim to coat the sides of their tunnels so they move on. I seem to recall you could buy a worm-killer chemical to water the garden with, which presumably reduces their food source and that might move them on.

But personally I think you're wasting your time. After your lawn starts to resemble the Battle of the Somme on a bad day you might get a change of attitude. At that point get half a dozen metal traps and start planning a menu around mole-burgers.....smile

We had moles once, and had to get the mole man in to get rid of them ( he actually looked a bit like a mole too!)He set traps that killed them. Once they are in, it takes them very little time to destroy your garden. Will always remember my dad running down the garden one morning when he had seen a mole hill move, grab a spade and proceed to hit the mole hill with it until the handle snapped off. Was rather funny!
