sagaris throttle cable

throttle cable snapped at 11000 miles after full power episode and managed to roll to within about 600 yards from my house into pub car park.walked home to get bunjy cable and a few spanners to attempt rescue but failed,just as well me thinks but managed to get local hoddies to push me home.so is my tvr a real tvr yet as its has never been on the back of a tow truck yet ha ha.anyway the point is i have fitted the new one and but i think it snapped because it was not hitting the stopper on the pedal box kick plate.i dont think it had a rubber gromit on it as the bolt extended max did not touch pedal but when grommit fitted now stops.i now dont have a rubber grommit on the clutch pedal so does the clutch have one aswell because if it does i must be missing one.i dont want the clutch cable to snap otherwise it might be tow truck time this bank holiday.
