2003 Boxster

I currently have a 2000 model year 996 cabrio tiptronic which I adore but rattles like hell (especially with the hard top on) and i'm considering switching it for the new Boxster S.

I would love another 996 but can't really afford the extra for a new one (esp as i like a few creature comforts).

Anyone have any views on how the cars compare? Any idea of performance/power? I have heard rumours of 3.4l close to 1st generation 996.

Also I've never been a real fan of the Boxsters push-me-pull-you looks - does anyone have any idea if that will be changed for 2003 m/y?

I HAVE TO SPEC MY 2.7 TIPTRONIC BOXSTER FOR 03 DEL. I HAVE LIMITED FUNDS AND WANT BARE MINIMUM WHAT DO I NEED 16s BUT I LIKE THE LOOK OF 18s IS IT A HARD RIDE?.I HAVE NO GARAGE DO I NEED A HARD TOP? WHO NEEDS AIR CON?LEATHER? BOSE SOUNDS OR NOT.REG NUMBER BX03TER
