Throttle cable support

I started the car last night after putting it back together, and leaving the garage the revs were around 1000, then the revs increased to somewhere near 3000k. Turns out that the throttle cable support was not bolted firmly to the engine. I tried to screw it back in, but only the side near the wing would screw down.

There was some kind of extension underneath the other side, a round piece of metal which the bolt went through, lifting the throttle cable support up from the engine. Is this how it should be? Or are both sides directly bolted to the covers? It was too late last night, and the noise at 3000rpm would have probably annoyed the neighbours, so I'll get back onto it tonight.

no nothing compares to that noise on start up still puts a silly grin on my face

So, I thought I'd be smart and undo the bolts holding the throttle cable bracket on, meaning that there would be no way the throttle could open and I could try to find some kind of stable revs. I then started the car, and it revved to 8000rpm as soon as the it barked to life, actually it might not have stopped had I not turned the engine off instantly.

I'm a little worried now as I might blow the engine just by turning it on. Why would this happen? Is there a throttle position sensor in the Cerbera? Can only find one for the Speed6, not the AJP8.

after thinking a while with some beer, i guess the throttle is sticking somewhere. maybe the butterflies are stuck. is this common?

Yep your throttle is stuck on one of both banks.

Yeps, found the culprit. But I'm not sure it's repeatable here

Got to try and tighten the cable throttle bracket and set the idle speed, then it should be perfect.
