RWYB - 1st October - Shakespeare County Raceway

Any one up for this as a lot of Chimps with gas, superchargers and turbos going which has added 50p to their value but any Griff's fancy this as I don't want the be the only one in my lowly 430. Its good fun if you've not done it before and cheap. You'll need a helmet and your driving licence as well as covering up arms and no fluid leaks. Other than that its down to you. Very intimidating, espcially if you're up against something doing a huge burnout, but great fun and addictive. I've done a weekend so this is only my 2nd outing.

yeah, what's all that about ?

If anything FFG, odds on that the modified cars will show relatively poorly compared to standard cars (bearing in mind the expense of achieving the extra go), what with the law of diminishing returns and traction issues..

and FYI, when I bought it was either griff or chim, no strong feelings either way - to me they're more or less the same. It was about finding the best example of either (according to my criteria).

by the way - Boxster S is a "better" car, but we all buy what we like, not necessarily what's best

Paul. See another very simple solution that costs nothing. However, you may not need it for Stratford sprint! How's the rewiring going? Which wire/wires burnt out on the way back from Growl dyno. Eddie

Hmmm. problem - I'm insured with Aviva. They offer no Trackday cover whatsoever - any ideas ?

ETA - 1x HedTec Extreme II helmet for sale. Brand new, unworn, XL size (60-61cm)

hopefully just kidding about the helmet. There must be a way, surely... temp cover with a specialist underwriter ? £20 for the day or summat ?

That was simple - found the answer - don't insure it !

noone wants to cover drag races.....

moral of the story ? Concentrate !

slightly more worrying is the idea that I might struggle to insure it for the road SC'd come renewal in May - Mannings for example are no longer able to offer cover for supercharged TVRs.

Can't for the life of me work out why not

Shakespeare is a bit too far for me and I really do not see why you are required to wear a lid at this venue when you are not required to at Pod
