My car has started letting in water at the very bottom of the zip on the passenger side.

Ive no idea how to go about fixing it. I thought about covering it in vasaline, but i dont think thats a very good idea at all.

Any ideas?

Your roof has a zip? I'm intrigued, never seen a '5 with a zip on the roof before...

My roof has a zip across the top of the window, it's glass and the roof can't be put down without.

A Eunos (Roadtser) is always a Mk1 wink

And yes, All Mk1s have a zipped rear window unless a Mk2 roof has been fitted.

Hi, the zip is not waterproof. Water must be running onto the zip after getting in somewhere else. I think you should look for a rip somewhere on the rear section or look to see if its getting in along the window seals. How are your hood cables?

I just had a new roof fitted. There arent any problems with the frame, tension cables or fabric. Its very odd indeed. The people who fitted it cant work it out either.

Water shouldn't be able to get to the zips. They usually live behind a couple of inches of flaps. Are you sure it's the zip that are leaking and not a cracked rain-rail?

I had this problem on my old Eunos and resolved it with grease down the vertical tracks of the zip run. Sounds like a rubbish fix i know but it really did work!
