Hi, I was restoring a mk1 mr2 and had sorted it all out mechanicaly and was just working on the body when my lockup has been broken into and all my tools stolen. Now I can't leave any replacement there which means I can't weld the body so I'm debating harvesting the car for a kit car as mechanicaly it's fine.

I'm just wondering is there any kits out there that need the mk1 mr2 as a donor? I know there is the furore f1 but I'm just wondering what other options there are. Also do kits need any BIG power tools such as welder, it's really not possible to drag large tools there every day in my little C2.

Thanks for any help

Liam.

Been having a look while the F1 practice is on hehe . Can't find any kit except the Furore for a Mk1 MR2 (lots of Ferrari/Lamborghini replica type stuff for the Mk2). There was the Group B rally car that never raced, but I can't find any replica body kits of it.

Maybe a bodykit, tidy up and motorsport paint job?

I found this, apart from the kit I did like what he did with the rear lights to make the car look wider

Try a La Bala. American kit, not sure how well it would fit your needs but just came off the top of my head.
