I spotted this recently in Asda, £2.27 for 2 litres, 5.3%.

Needless to say I bought shedloads and got utterly wkered!

You do know it's not cider, just apple juice with ethanol poured in, don't you?

I notice a significant difference in how hung over I feel based on the cheapness of the beer/cider the night before.

If I spend a bit more the hangover is a lot less.

The amount of sulphates and chemicals they pump in to the cheaper end stuff, makes me stay clear.

Definitely concur. I find that for minimal head damage the next day then good gin is always the best bet.

5.3%? Pah

Even more surprisingly, it tastes vaguely like apples which considering it costs £6.50 for 2 3ltr bottle is impressive.

Dear god, you paid too much!

A 3 ltr bottle was about £2.50 the last time I bought some.

Good times indeed.

I haven't drank cider like that since I was about 16.

Vague memories of drinking a barrack buster of scrumpy jack round the pitches on a friday night hehe
