Clutch question

Can anyone tell me how quickly a slave goes? Had a problem that mine leaked some fluid while parked at a car park and since hasn't stopped working.. Parked in garage after driving home no more fluid to be seen on floor??

Could this just be a heat issue? Thanks for your commebts

It can take a while to fail after a leak appears and this can be postponed to some extent by regularly topping up the clutch fluid. Sorry to say though, it's highly unlikely that the problem will go away, its definitely not just a "heat issue" as it should be a firmly sealed system.

So best just not to drive it? And get it fixed...But if I do which fluid to use?

Are you positive it's clutch fluid. My mine used to drip fluid from the back of the tray under the engine.

Well it was sticky, colourless and dripping from behind the engine..?

Just been out again and looked, it was coolant, dripping down the back of the engine... Guess the expansion tank lid could be leaking..

Just under and to the back of the near side air box is a 'Y' piece connector.
These often split so check this out too.
