M3 E46 Hard Top Security

Its almost time to put the hard top back on, (not that we have had a summer) but im currently using my M3 every day as i currently dont have a 3rd car for everyday use.
The worry i have is coming back to my car and finding my roof has gone for a walk. Anyone that knows how they are fitted will know that its only 4 clamps that hold it on and it would take a matter of seconds to take it off and put on another waiting car. I paid £550 for my one last year and i dont want to lose it.
Does anyone know of a good way of securing the roof or some kind of way to stop it going for a walk?

Yeah but thats not enough, having the roof on feels similar to leaving a £550 laptop on the front seat, in full view. You only have to break a window to access it.
Maybe im being paranoid but i feel additional security is required to protect my roof.
I did read on here ages ago about someone having their roof stolen, since then i have been thinking about security! Just want to find something before anyone gets the chance, if you know what i mean!

This was the reason I didnt buy a hard top for mine - there always seems to plenty of them on eBay 
I seem to recall someone developing a fixing kit which made it difficult to nick. Even so, the damane will be done to your car by the time they've worked out its more secure than average.

I never even considered mine being stolen when I had an E46 Cab!!! Once a window is burst or a door opened the alarm would go off anyway. Securing it in any other way would probably just encourage any would be thief to cause more damage trying to nick it!!
Just try to forget about it. I think the chances of it being nicked would be slim. If you worry about these scrotes too much, it'll take the enjoyment out of your ownership!!!
