Madness @ Reading
Discussion
Also not a Madness fan previously, but thought their set was great.
Really big crowd as well, which asked serious questions about what the organisers were smoking when they were sorting out the main stage schedule for Saturday. Pigeon Detectives second on, Seasick Steve, Madness and Jimmy Eat World all really good and all getting big crowds, then followed by The National. Who I'd never heard of before the weekend, and having been one of the handfull of people to stay at the main stage when they were on, never hope to listen to again.
To be honest I wasn't that impressed with Pulp. Think their set was one for the fans, whereas something like Madness or Seasick Steve were really accessible to anyone regardless of whether or not you'd heard their stuff before.
