Help with a film....

We were at my friends the other night and we got onto 80's horrors/weird films that we used to watch,
Then i remembered a film very slightly that i cant for the life of me think what its called, between me and one other mate that knew what i was on about we only could remember tiny bits..

The film started with a kid with a basket ball that gets away from him and rolls down some stairs into a basement door..

there was a midget with a goatee that some reason ends up in a room in a house that is full of plants and he gets shrunk down to a very small slimy little person, if i can remember thats what happens to everyone that gets trapped in this room..

thats all ive got to go on, ive googled everything i can remember but nothings coming up, its just something thats playing on my mind and thought just one person out there might know what im going on about!

ACTUALLY AMAZING, That is the film, its all flooding back to me now, midget with a goatee is this chap..

he plays the troll....

And this is him shrinking...

Was going to suggest Troll too.... I made the mistake of buying it last month, some things are better left in the past
