Nissan Primera Gt

Anyone on here own/drive one of these ..P11 saloon 99yr model..
Don't seem to hear much about this car on the readers forums..
Apparently a much underrated car in it's day..
Any thoughts from you guys...Good or Bad,don't mind..

i had a p11 1.6si i loved the seats and it handled well for its time etc but drove a gt not that long back as was looking for a snotter and it really wasnt good but this was a dog

Cheers for the response..I guess the car whatever make if it's been neglected will be a pain to own and run..
With a few upgrades I am more than happy with mine..
Not too many gadgets and point it at a corner and it sticks like glue..
Good fun for the money and very cheap to own and run..

showing my age now, but I did drive one at Silverstone years ago and it was awesome. Handling was just so entertaining with a very pointy front end and easy to control nature. I can't remember its competition of the time but it clearly made an imprint in my mind.

Bear in mind I have owned a 330bhp exige, 997s and loads of litre sports bikes so it has done well to still make me smile after reminiscing.

Nismo48, I had a 98R Primera SE as a £500 shed for a year, now scrapped, but I came across all the paper work the other day and there is a Nissan brochure in really good condition that has a spread or two on the GT model.

Yours if you want it, no charge, just rather it went to a Primera fan than just out with the recycling. If you want me to stick it in the post PM me your address, cheers

I had a 96 2.0 Sri back in 97, i loved that car, was an ex nissan management car but never let me down in 2 and a half years.

I had one, very understated car.

I had an LE with full leathers and Enkei alloys on top of the GT. They handle amazingly, even with the budget tyres that were fitted.

Don't expect amazing economy, it will sit pretty happily above 30mpg everywhere but 35mpg is the maximum I had. Mine was a shagged example (135k with little maintenance) but it was a great stop gap car.

I've already said it but the hanlding of these is simply amazing, I went from the Primera into a Clio172 and the Primera was definitley faster down my favourite B road

They like to be rev'd, you have to drive it hard like most Jap performance N/a cars to get the best out of it.

[Drove the Sri and that's what got me hooked..
For the money it's a good car and is reliable and keeps on
Going through all weathers..
Some of the club guys have some proper modded Gt's..
Turbo charged and trick suspension along with big brake mods too..
Take a peak on NPOC website..

I had a 1996 Sri in black. Nice car and very reliable.

Would have kept it longer but a car decided to slide into it in a ice covered car park. It still drove ok but was a write off.

Had a '98 Primera GT since 2004 and it's now done just over 205,000 miles. It's got numerous things that need sorting but it just gets the basics done and we'll keep it until it dies.

I've got a 2001 model Primera (SE+) and I bloody love it. More or less the same 2.0l engine I believe. Does everything I need it to do. Mine isn't a GT that I was after, but it came with everything and at a price I couldn't refuse to let down.

Now, I'd rather have this than the GT as insurance is surprisingly cheaper and I get 340 miles to a tank. A lot of fun too.

We had one some years back , another T reg GT (T101 FWL) if its still around , liked it nice car but dont remember being that impressed by the performance but the handling was good , lot of car for the money though like most Jap stuff

I regularly get over 400 miles from a tank, twice I've managed to get 500 miles!
