stuttering? or maybe just me?

Travelling around the Loire Valley at the moment having a fab time!

Noble when I am not pressing on I.e. Only just touching the throttle seems to be stuttering a little? Nothing major just doesn't feel as smooth as it usually does.

When I put my foot down or come to a stop it is smooth - no obvious problems.

Any ideas or am I being over sensitive driving the whole day between the Chateaus?

If I had been going around the Loire valley I would be stuttering after a bit as well

Does it smooth out if you were to change up or down a gear? Is it hunting at low rpm?
Not sure if its same thing but when i am kerb crawling down the 10mph speed limit beach strip, some times it doesnt like being in 2nd and changing to 1st smooths it out because it allows a bit more throttle.

or it could be a lambda sensor starting to play up.

I reckon it could be a lamda sensor playing up. The insides of my exhausts are absolutely covered in soot.

How do I find out which one it is? I guess I need to take it down to a garage and get it plugged in?

Anyone with the ECU software can tell - or pop over to Nobleparts and get the USA 'dealer' software and it'll tell you straight away.

Mine stutter's a bit when cold, then sorts its self out once warmed. I also have also noticed the soot, get alot around the rear clam, behind the rear wheel arches. Is this normal??

is the stock or remapped, what ecu do you have ?

What do you look for in the 'Dealer' software to indicate a dodgy Lambda sensor?

The Lambda voltage is shown for each side. According to the build manual (also on NP) it should be around 0.11-0.15 at idle, and looking at the graphs vary between about 0.1 to 0.8.

Lambda readings should look something like this

see lambda A & B bottom left blue box reading 0.99 and 0.98

They should move a bit so show they are working. If static then they ain't working

Had great fun and the car seemed happy.

I don't have a pc laptop one do I have one with a serial port!

Is the ecu ODB II compliant?
