When switched into loud mode, there appears to be certain bands where it switches to quiet automatically - normally around 3000 rpm and comes back in again after a certain time.

I have heard in the past this is for trackday driveby noise regs - is this true?

More importantly, is there a way of disabling this? When I want it quiet, I will switch it myself!

Thanks in advance

...the automatic noise cut-off is not rpm-related but speed related. I believe between about 25mph and 45mph the exhaust quietens down (to satisfy European drive-by noise regs I think).

It can be tweaked to have it on loud all the time, but then you lose the option to quieten it as and when you choose.

thanks wax - Yes, I thought about removing the fuse, but it is a nice option to press quiet now and again when leaving the house early or when kids in car on motorway journeys.

At least I know it is supposed to do that now though!

Cheers
