Not sure how "live" it was, my Brother lives about 2 miles away and could hear it but said there was a delay between the TV and what he could hear from outside, not sure by how much though.

They were supposed to do the whole set of Origin of Symmetry, but it looks like the BBC edited it because the band weren't happy with it, (as they had not played the whole set for a long time). That is how I understood it.

By the time you've processed it and beamed it up to a sat then back down, then probably back up and down again you've added 5-10 seconds easily.

Ed Sheeran I think. I didn't see it but he's ginger and quite good, could be who you're after.

Try 50 minutes laugh

They were actually on at 9:30pm but the program started at 10:20pm to allow them to cut out some of the songs. As said above they were playing their second album "Origin of Symmetry" in full from start to finish tonight. The BBC delayed their program by 50 minutes to allow the album to be played in full so they could then start the program with the 3 songs from that album that were deemed good enough by the band to show on national TV, followed by the rest of the songs 'live' with the delay you mention above.

They were of course excellent, but I sat down expecting to see the album played in full - quite disappointed by their decision not to show it on TV. Also their choice of songs from their new album was poor, they played the singles that are imo substandard to other songs like 'MK Ultra', 'Unnatural Selection', 'Guiding Light' and 'United States of Eurasia".

Just a bit underwhelmed by it as I've seen it all before, I was expecting something new tonight and I was REALLY looking forward to 'Citizen Erased' frown Helsinki Jam was bloody brilliant though, I hope that becomes a proper song.

WHY is this not in HD!? One of the few things which would actually benefit from 5.1 and 1080i, yet we're stuck with it in SD. Excellent performance, though.

I was there too and was for me one of the best headline sets I have seen at Reading
