Just noticed that they have taken away the ability to browse car parts by manufacturer/model.

Say I was looking for Jeep Grand Cherokee floor mats, I now have to hunt them down in Car parts/Other car parts. Except I get faced with page after page of unrelated crap! You just got to hope the seller puts the model name in the listing title now or you'll never see it.

Surely they cannot be serious with this?

Anyone found a work around to the old method?

Try typing 'Jeep Grand Cherokee floor mats' into the general search bar ?

Obviously smile

I enjoyed the ability to narrow my search by make/model - then I can see all related parts - simples!

The title search is great BUT the flaw is this - what happens when the seller is 'terming' the same item with a slightly different name?

I've found that it refuses to show car prices on each ad until you click on them, and it then shows them in an advert preview on the right.

Makes the processs of searching much more long-winded.

Ebay are slowly but surely guaranteeing their demise, fees rises, strict listing wording and category specifications. It wont be long now until one of the other online auction sites stars to take a sizable percentage of ebays market share

Well well...

6 days later and eBay have put back the ability to search by manufacturer/model.

Still no classic parts category though. I remember the days ebay was the first port of call, now it's the last resort
