No Blowing

My heater fan won’t switch on. I’ve checked the fuse and the connections on the rheostat thing on the bulkhead. Any suggestions before I have to start pulling things apart. I DO NOT want to have to take the dash of again if I can avoid it.

Rheostat resistors are for the instrument lighting not the fan, unless you are talking about something inside the dash that I haven't seen, I'm talking about the resistors behind the drivers side wheel.

I would try taking the centre console off first and bypassing the switch to eliminate that (and check power is getting there) before ripping the car apart.

The fan switch pulls out from the front (I think) if its a Lucas 205SA type.

I have posted about this recently it is probably that the motor has gone it can be removed fairly easily via the passenger football by pulling the dash forward a few inches and pulling it through the grill .the fiddle bit is undoing the two retaining screws behind the black plastic housing, I was lucky to have a replacement (thanks BarryS1) but I imagine the motor could be rewound. Thanks for the replies. It seems to have started working again now! Only on high speed though so maybe it's the switch? It's a V8S so unfortunately the whole dash has to be removed to get to the fan. The switch is on the centre console on mine and you have to lift the whole assembley back to get behind the switch panel to check the wires.

It's the switch. Is the Lucas 205SA part number mentioned above right for the V8S?
