So I'm on a hunt for a decent E36, but it's astonishing how much BMW you can get for banger money. Ran across this today, and although it's not my cup of tea, it's an awful lot for the money:

Wow, that's a VERY early E39...

Cracking VFM though, stick a private plate on and it could easily pass for an '02. Don't know if there are any issues with the earliest ones, I still love my '99 520 Touring, the most solid car I think I've ever had...

Lovely cars but plenty of them are dying due to unresolved coolant system weaknesses leading to HGF. I fell for this myself and we now have one sat in my Dad's garage awaiting fix/scrap or breaking.

Such a shame.

Any old beemer MUST be run up to temperature on a test drive and left running afterwards to check for overheating.

Always like the look of the E39 5 series, similarly I love the look of the E38 7 Series.

Shame really as I can never really see myself in one.
