tempted to add these to my doors like the cayman r etc as i have no internal handle to pull on ,anyone got any suggestions re material etc

Much depends on the interior trim.
Can't be something ordinary...how about aligater skin, Ostrich leather, Elephant foreskin.

That could be a big drawback I think!!

I reckon they'd look wrong done in anything other than webbing (either plain black or matching your belts).

Pretty sure one of the harness makers could run up a set for you.

thanks have schroth harnesses in red so subtle lol-might use spare length of harness i have already!

Just a thought but rather than butcher a spare harness, why not buy a cheap 1" ratchet/tiedown strap from B&Q and chop a couple of lengths off that instead?

went to B+q last night thinking the same but could not find red harness unfortunately

looked on ebay already some cheap out of date harnesses so ideal for pull strap but link looks interesting-thanks

Use a tow strap. It's pretty much perfect for what you want without any modification required:
