Following 4 years of boring company cars, I decided to buy my own smile

I've had it about a month now and covered around 2500 miles, I love it.

Thanks, I do love the colour. It looks fantastic when under the garage forecourt lights at night!

Currently contemplating a subtle pistonheads sticker...

These look sensational with this colour combo. They feel like a quality product having sat in one at Goodwood FOS.

Enjoy thumbup

Damn that is ace!

That is my perfect colour combo and the wheels look brilliant. Put a PH sticker on it and it should be perfect.

I prefer these to the Polo GTI and SEAT that also shares the floorplan.

Enjoy it! yes

Practical Head On: How do you find the alloys regards kerbing etc etc. Also do you like the DGG box?

Thanks for all of the kind comments smile

Regarding the DSG box; This was a big reason for me to buy the car after having a top spec DSG equipped Tiguan at my disposal for a week - I fell in love with the power and relaxed drive home at 2am in the mornings.

My main requirements where:

Small car + decent power
A late auto box (Because older ones are laggy.)
Cheap running costs (Inc insurance - £115 pm inc 22k miles, business use, 5 points and one accident. Renaultsports, cooper s's, type R's are all at least double that to insure.)
Climate control and cruise.

Now some may say cruise control and DSG just isn't a true hot hatch, and I understand that but this suits me down to the ground for my driving habits.
Unlike others I've experienced no hesitation, in gear selection coming out of junctions etc.

My favourite thing about this car is DSG + supercharger + turbo = A very responsive little motor anywhere between 0-110 mph.

The VRS actually uses the older platform to the Polo and Ibiza. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Group_A0_p...

Nice car OP, looks all the better for not having black alloys on it imo.

For those interested here's a link to a quick video of the acceleration, I apologise for the low quality. I recommend you turn down or mute the speakers.
