Nitron shock adjuster stuck in full soft setting

As above. Loosened off to count up the clicks on one of my rears this afternoon. The bugger won't tighen again now. They're nearly new, and I slackened off the other side the same for now and will call the garage tomorrow. Is this a common problem? I had the wheel off and some grips on it and it still wouldn't budge (although it is hard to get a good grip under there).

Dropping it off at Str8Six and they're sending the shock to Nitron. PITA to be honest, I delayed going for aftermarket shocks exactly because I didn't want hassles like this.
