Good suspension technician in Essex
Discussion
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a garage in Essex that is especially good at diagnosing suspension problems?
I tell you why, my 330ci started getting a judder when braking at about 60mph when I had my disks and pads replaced over a year ago. After having the disks replaced about 3 times it went away. Then about a month ago I noticed it starting again.
I had been braking very carefully for the first 1000 miles, making sure I didn't sit on the brake when I stopped. The judder didn't come back, even after a trip up to North Yorkshire this Spring. I have been paying a little less attention to my braking after the first 1000 miles with the new disk, but I'd have thought the judder would have re-occurred earlier, not a year later.
There doesn't seem to be a simple solution. It could be a bush or a ball joint. Anyway, that's why I thought a good technician would the best solution unless someone has a definite answer. By the way, PMW fitted the disks and have had a look several times.

PMW ltd in Chelmsford have a good rep, but no direct experience but a friend has used them and rates them.
Probably going to be the lower front wishbones rear bushes, a common issue.
I've been using PMW for a while and they seem very good. I just wondered if there was anyone else?Probably going to be the lower front wishbones rear bushes, a common issue.
I had one 'spy glass' bush replaced a while ago when i had a similar problem, which i think is what you are referring to. Maybe the other one needs replacing too.
