I think it's going to be Singapore at the latest. I think it's also fair to say that the other teams have, in essence, accepted that he is the winner too..... Stating it's "mathematically" possible is one thing, BUT for one other driver to win every future race is unlikely, there are 3-4 other drivers in with a shout for a few races.

Erm, I would think after the next race it's a 150 point gap, then 125 points etc.....

Exactly this for me. I never think Vettel is very exciting to watch for some reason, probably because he has been very good recently at avoiding trouble so it makes him look dull.What goes on behind him is much more interesting.

I think you're about right vs Webber - although I suspect that assumes Red Bull 1-2's, if Webber is less than second or especially doesn't score it could be done and dusted in a couple of races, depending on how everyone else's scores pan out.Do the others not have to score roughly twice the points he does in every race just to remain in contention in the last race?
Having said that, not even Red Bull would be betting on Red Bull to win Monza! so it may drag out a little longer....
Historically, it has not been unusual for the championship to be "in the bag" long before the last race, but we have been spoiled a little this last 4 years.
Me, I have no problem with SV winning, Hell, nobody could argue he doesn't deserve it, but I would of course like it to go to the last race.
Barring a lot of bad luck for Seb, or something truly Mercurial from someone else, I doubt it will.
Just a bit dissapointed that Webber couldn't run him a bit closer, same car & all that, last year he led him most of the year till the last race, come on Mark mate, I had higher hopes than that ! !

Good point vettel has deserved his title this year yea he may have the best car but so did button in 09, for the first part anyway, hamy in 08. Hes kept his head scored points at every round and hasn't been out of the top 5 all season where hamy has lost it, alonso/ massa not having a good car button been good in mixed conditions but average in other races and even his own team mate cant get close. He may not be exciting but he done what he needed to tog et where he is. To the original question singapore he will have it.

The question isn't "who has won with not the best car" - the question is, by how much was the car of the leader better than the rest? In Vettels case (and Buttons in 2009), the car was significantly better at various stages of the championship. You can't say that of Hamilton in 2008 for example. It's easy to say that of RedBull this year, as he has dominated the first half of the season and since then, still in qualifying.poing said:

But in the years where one car has been dominant, such as McLaren in 88, Williams in 87, 92 and 96, Brawn in 09, the champion has quite often been beaten by his team-mate. Vettel has trounced Webber this year, so it will be a hugely deserving championship win. Rob_F said:
