I have just thought, could Global Warming not be the effect of all this Population increase?, aparantly the human body gives off an awful lot of heat, so why can Global Warming not be caused by the population explosion?, the heat of all those extra bodies has to go somewhere does it not?, (into the Atmosphere then?), another thing is why is Tony B Liar encouraging overpopulation here then?, you know tax breaks for having kids etc!, FFS it is up to you if you breed!, your choice, your commitment!, not mine!, you know the score, if you want kids then YOU pay, end of story!, HELLO? anyone there?

Global warming is a necessity. Thank you for asking this questions as I have an A level geography exam in the morning and this could come up. We are only hear because of global warming, it is needed for our existence and is caused by more than one reason. PLus scientists dont really have a clue, they just guess. Until a few years ago they were worried about global cooling and the temperatures decreasing all over the world but to be honest nobody is sure so sod em all.

Basically, from what i remember. They have ideas, but like all scientific ideas they are flawed and have many people who dont agree or have other suggestions and we are being given advice and warnings based on what the "majority" of scientists believe. Then again, the world was once flat so who knows. All is for certain is that global warming is in fact necessary in evolution. No doubt by the morning someone with a much better understanding will tell me I'm completly wrong and by that time i will be sitting in my exam being very wrong.

Global warming may offset the next ice-age. Depends if it actually will work out that way or go completely off the rails in some other fashion. Perhaps it will all be too slow/slight to be much trouble to anyone.

WRT to the increased bodies thing, l'm am assuming you are being somewhat tongue in cheek but anyway: All our body heat comes form burning calories which are either from plants or animals that eat plants...both of which ultimately get all their energy from the sun so...no you havent discovered an a new form of energy. Step away from the flimsy Matrix plot this instant!

It was warmer (in the UK) when there were fewer people on the earth. Remember, the Romans grew grapes for wine in Northern Britain.

1) Epochically, we are actually currently enjoying a warm period in the middle of an ice-age.
