If any Vmaxxers fancy coming for a run In my Atom 300 can they make sure they have access to a full face helmet please - with 2 cars on each run much as the Clarkson rubber face effect is a laugh getting a lump of gravel in the face at 150 mph+ won't be

Looking forward to seeing a few of the old gang - it's been a while - Ian

Hi Ian

I'm coming along to passenger with MrChips in his Tuscan, I would very much like to hop in the Atom at some point if welcome.

Cheers
Jacko

Indeed MrChips himself would absolutely love a run in the atom too!

It'd be the first time I've even sat in one so what better time than Vmax!

Happy to give rides in the Tuscan as well throughout the day (until the AA come to collect it that is)

No problem - as long as folk have lids they are all welcome - there is no way I'll be challenging the exotica for top speed so I'm happy to take lots of people out - I have front and rear carbon aerofoils which I suspect will further reduce the top end but it should be fun seeing what it can manage and how it fares in the acceleration stakes !! Had it to mid to late 140's at Bedford, on the Kemmel straight at Spa and down the Hangar straight at Silverstone so clearing 150 would be good - Kemmel is long but obviously up hill so should get a bit more at Brunters all being well

Good god. Welcome back. See you there.

Sadly I don't think I'll fit in an Atom, but I'll bring my skidlid in case any other other big headed idiot wants a go.

A big thanks to all those that lent helmets to others so they could passenger today - the spirit of Vmax was very much in evidence cool

Thanks - good to hear the charger whine - really shows how we were hitting the limit at 8,300 in 6th well before the crest - not really what the cars about but it was a fun day - I think someone else got a film of us coming back round the bends which is a better indication - all the best everyone

Thanks indeed for the ride and to Jonathon for the use of his helmet. As you say, the bits through the bends were better in the Atom than going flat out down the straight! laugh

Ian, great to see you again at VMAX yesterday. Loved the Atom, a great purchase. Thanks for taking my passenger out for a run in it. Although not an obvious choice for a VMAX type event the Atom certainly gave a lot of VMAXers a damn good experience/fright!

cheers

Massive thanks once again for taking my little brother out in the Atom, and although he *almost* lost my gopro off his helmet mid way, thankfully both returned back in once piece.

Sadly he's not stopped talking about in since - for which I entirely blame you...
