Would an advert like the above not put you off slightly (assuming you were on the lookout for a Passat), or do people prefer 'comedy' in an ad?

The 'comedy' puts me off, though not as much as a side exit exhaust on a diesel Passat puts me off.

How long would the intercooler last on the front like that? must get battered by stones, etc

I think I speak for everyone here when I say I'd love a car that sounds like a ghost, but this is a diesel Passat. It will sound like a diesel Passat.
