Oil Temp feed on 4.2 Cerb?

Hi there, i am changing my oil/water guage for digital one. The Oil guage i am fitting has both oil temp and pressure, my question is where to plumb the oil temp feed into? Is it best to put a T piece where the original feed for oil pressure was or is it best to buy an oil filter Sandwich plate and put the oil temp sender there? Or is there a better idea.

I used this one for the V8 installation

Made up a new bracket to suit and used a 1/4 NPT tapped blanking plug for the sender.
Takes the standard cerb filter and the four ports allow the correct flow of oil through
the filter. This set up will measure the oil temp into the engine after the cooler
