I want to connect an ipod to my Pioneer head unit.
If I want to use the the head unit to control the ipod and charge it, I appear to have 2 options.

One of these Pioneer interface box thingies at £80

Or

One of these Cheap and ifffy looking cable jobbies at £7

What do you think?

Read the ebay ad again. It says that control remains on the iPod, NOT the head unit.

You could by an Alpine unit with iPod connectivity for 150 quid and sell yours on ebay.

Personally I would not spend half the value of the unit on making it iPod enabled (guessing that your unit is 150 quid or thereabouts).

Probably not the answer you was looking for, so feel free to discard this post wink ...

fking with your iPod whilst driving might be dangerous, however, having said that, fking with your stereo is probably equally as bad (and you can spend some time dicking about trying to select the right album etc)...

Buy and ipod compatible head unit. You can get them for as little as £100.
