European road trip tips

Guys, I know there are a few threads about european road trips on here, and I will be working my way through these over the next few days, but if any one has an comments or links I'd be grateful.

My brother in law has a house in Saas Fee, I am looking at planning a road trip, the intention being to spend about a week with him and family in switzerland next summer. I am looking to ferry from hull to rotterdam or zeebrugge and then probably head east and south. I would like to take in some interesting stuff en route. I am thinking the Rhine gorge area might be worth a couple of days or so exploring. After saas fee I am thinking about heading to the med coast and then either back north via burgundy and champagne to the ports or possible heading east to one of the northern spain ports via the pyrenees.

Any tips regarding options with mountain passes, into and out of switzerland, plus pyrenees would be appreciated.

I am thinking of making it a 3 week trip altogether, with 2 adults and 2 kids in the Morgan 4 seater. (I have done a shorter blast from bilbao to sete via biarritz before in the mog, but it was spring so we kept to the low ground.

Any tips for me with this plan?
