Need some help hiring a corvette in florida next month
Discussion
I wonder if someone may be able to advise.
Got a holiday in florida booked next month, we initially booked a corvette with alamo but have now been told it won't happen (i had a feeling it wouldn't anyway but its a long story).
So what to do?
Need it for 3 weeks, collect at orlando int and drop off miami.
I know hertz do them but have looking at their site it appears theres none left and i have heard they are a bit knackered anyway.
Sure i read somewhere theres another one out there who has them in more discrete colours.
Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks, maybe i should just get a hertz one. People say that they are not too discreet but tbh i think all the tourists proabably stick out like a sore thumb anyway
Might give them a try.
Hertz doesn't have any for where i'm going. I'm very disappointed! You are lucky if you even have the option
Might give them a try.
I have heard some locations have new ones now though. I'm not 100% sure that's true, and they wont be the ZHZ one's, but it has been mentioned on FlyerTalk.

Are you arriving at Orlando International (MCO) or Sanford (SFB)?
Hertz and Avis have Corvette at MCO.

I did speak to avis who quoted $2900 which is a bit much for me tbh

I think i may call hertz as i did look on their site a few days back but it said none available iirc (i'm sure that happened).
Avis did say $1400 for a mustang coupe which sounds reasonable and is way cheaper than prices on the website quoted.
We have just got back from the US and had originally booked the bog standard budget car as it only worked out a few more quid than the flight and hotel on ebookers. On our arrival at the hire desk we enquired about a Mustang and were soon on our way in the soft top V6 for just $10 a day extra (this was with Dollar). Car only had 500 miles on the clock too
Usually upgrade at the car hire desk for very little - although I guess decent offers do vary by location. I know that some will sniff as it's only the 300hp model and a hairdressers one at that - but couldn't go wrong at that price and it was genuinely fun to press on in it.
