Hi,

I am trying to find a timber supplier who supplies what are essentially "straight barrel staves". They are to make a large tub out of wood.

The timber cross section would look something like this:
__
)_)

So they fit into each other and seal even though they will all be at a slight angle to each other.

The timbers would be approximately 40mm thick, 100mm wide and around a 1000mm long. They can be made out of pine/cedar etc.

Does anyone know a company that can stock or can supply something like this?

Thank you,
Si

A vice and an electric planer might be the answer...

Funny enough I had just been thinking that. That would give me the curved edge but how convex edge but how can I achieve the concave edge?

Is there a clever way to get a consistent "angle" and depth or is that called skill?

You would need a tool called a draw knife and a small ads, easiest solution would be to find a coopers and source via them.
