Not sure if anyone will know,

However I recently signed up to Quidco, I've switched my energy to nPower through them, which garners £70 cashback, however the claim has been "declined".

I couldn't see why, so raised a claim, it's still showing as "Claim raised" however nothing's happened in a fortnight...

Help! How long does it usually take, am I getting it wrong and is there a "human" e-mail address to talk to?

I had a £150 t mobile fail but paid after a query (about 2 months)

I've been using Quidco for about 3 years and have netted a tidy sum!

I'm just a bit concerned about the initial query I raised because I couldn't find the nPower account number then- The switch has happened now though, so I hope it'll come through soon.

Some cracking deals on there, have registered my cards and even now get 4.5% cashback at Hellfrauds...

You should try Quidco Pro. All the same deals ... but with some fava beans, and a nice chianti ...

Did you screen scrape elsewhere first?
AFAIK the most likely reason for a fail is the affliate scheme has paid elsewhere.

I've tried Quidco a couple of times and it's not worked either time, possibly because of me comparing deals before committing. I would have said it seems like a scam to me except that I know it does work for some people. Would using a different browser to do the buying make any difference? The problem must be with something I'm doing.

I thought I'd done it correctly, went straight through on their link, but nothing... Very annoying, particularly since the "declined claim" has also gone precisely nowhere.

And it tracked alright, so can't see why it didn't pay...

I'm well into four figures now with my Quidco cashback, as long as you are smart you will nearly always get the cashback. Here are some tips (lifted from http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cashback... )

1. Think of cashback as a bonus only - it's not guaranteed
2. The cashback isn't yours until it's in your bank account
3. Never store cash in a cashback site - withdraw it ASAP
4. Focus on the cheapest deal - not the cashback
5. Consider clearing your cookies

Rule 5 is probably the most important. - If you used a comparison site to find your cheapest insurance/fuel/etc then there is a chance the comparision site will get your cashback. Same as if you visited the retail site before using Quidco, clear your cookies!

Quidco themselves suggest you may want to use an alternate browser for quidco buying only but I would maintain clearing cookies is best.

I set up a separate bank account and have my Quidco paid into that regardless of amount, this way the money is with me, not with them.

If you haven't joined, do! - So far, my iPad and TV have been bought with 'free' money. Join Quidco

Interesting... Don't think it's a cookie issue, we'll see if anything comes through!

If you use Firefox, Cookieculler is a useful add-on, as you can choose which cookies to keep, and everything else is deleted when you open Firefox.

Surely if it was a rogue cookie (Mmm, cookies) it wouldn't have tracked properly in the first place?

Insurance claims have always caused the most problems for me, my £30 from budget for home insurance is still showing as "tracked", despite the policy ENDING 2 months ago

Another long term Quidco user here (just shy of £1000 earning).

I've made 3 claims in the past:
hotelsclub (appeared not to track) = success
hotels.com (made 2 very similar bookings within minutes and only one tracked) = success
npower = declined

I paid close attention to the npower terms (the offer was £90 at the time), it tracked successfully, I signed up as per the terms... then a few weeks later it displayed as declined.

I raised a support ticket, provided the information I was asked for - then the claim was rejected, the reason given as 'Not a Quidco sale'.

Interesting that I may not be alone. Has anybody successfully received cash back from npower?
