Online curry spice kits

Does anyone have any good links to suppliers of online curry spice kits?

I found this one ( http://currykit.com/ ) which looks ideal as they're in individual portions (the plan is to get a selection as a present for someone that lives alone!), but it looks as though you can only pay via paypal which - with me being an imbecile - I can't be bothered to wade through just for this!

Does anyone have any other good sites I could try, ideally ones that people have tried and can vouch that they're of reasonable quality. I don't mind if they're not individual portions if I know they're nice!

Nah, cut out the middleman and buy the best book going about curries. Read the Amazon reviews here

At first glance the recipes look complicated but it's just a load of spices ground together - far better than a kit and they taste outstanding. I couldn't understand why somebody would curry good salmon until I tasted it! We've cooked many of the recipes and they have all been outstanding.

Originally stumbled on their shop in Goodramgate (York) while on holiday a few years ago, and bought a couple of mixes just to try. They were ridiculously easy to use, and the resultant curries were excellent.

I usually buy half a dozen packs two or three times a year, and keep them in the freezer until they are used.

I like the look of the book but the idea is to just get a bit of a 'token' present that won't cost too much. I think that if I got the book I'd feel a bit mean not getting the ingredients too, and that would end up getting complicated!

The one above looks good too, I'll have a litle investigate later and see what's what. As you've used the kits, what other ingredients do you usually need, is it just onion/garlic puree and tinned tom's etc?

A friend has used their Paypal to order a selection from the original site I found. The idea of them being individual appeals!

Thanks for the suggestions, I may try some different ones depending on the outcome. I'll keep you posted as to what they're like

The ones I ordered (which arrived on Saturday - only ordered at 9pm on Thrusday!) are 50p per meal. I'm sure you can get them cheper but I don't think that's too bad. I'm annoying everyone at work by leaving them out on my bench for the day, everyone's starving now

And Asian stores aren't that common in East Anglia..!!
