Well done Royal, well done.

Sums up nicely the four elements of Commando Spirit; courage, determination, unselfishness,
and cheerfulness in the face of adversity.

I salute you sir, RIP.

Yes, there are "special" companies that cater for our needs. There has previously been much publicity surrounding this subject in the media.

Very touching indeed, what a legend

Heartbreaking that truly good and brave men like that are dying in Afghanistan whilst the scum of the earth start riots, loot shops and live on benefits with their 7 children. Natural selection in reverse confused

All US soldiers have an option of $450K-$1M for $29-$54/month. I am certain UK soldiers have an equivilent.

There are several companies who will cover a British soldier when he is on duty in conflict. There are various premiums depending on the cover required.

If there was ever a proper war I'm quite sure that a few insurance companies would be absolutely fked.

Not really, they just raise the premiums like they have since recent conflicts started.
