Golf GTi Drivers
Discussion
on the weekend i travelled from Kent to Truro in cornwall and back again and noticed that some Golf GTi drivers seem really aggressive drivers! and dont care for their kids much!
on the way down i was travelling in the outside lane of the A30 at a steady 0.85 leptons and this golf GTi just wouldnt back off my rear bumper, even though i was overtaking everything in the left hand lane (DC by the way) and there was no need to. now I know its silly but i decided to try and shake him off by speeding up but this guy wouldnt back off, in the end, speeds got silly before I found a gap and let him past. as he did, i notice he has a bloody child seat in the back! driving like that! knob!
then, on the way home, exactly the same thing happens twice, and once again both cars have child seats in them.
is it that theyre pissed at having kids when they really want a porsche so they attempt to intimidate everyone on the road out of their way... discuss.

Can ba anyone and inevitably there is something in the back window about kids on board. However, having a child seat doesn't mean there has to be a child in it at all times.
no just means that theyre a dad, im sure that child would love to lose their dad cos his ego meant he couldnt be beaten by a skoda!Ibizahoo2 said:

Maybe you need to read the full post?
I read the full post and agree with Sim16v. Plenty of outer lane morons are actually overtaking, but doing it very slowly and are either oblivious to traffic wanting to get past them or just enjoy holding them up. It certainly sounds like the OP falls into the latter category as the Golf was apparently behind him for quite some time.Sim16v said: 'Maybe they were just sick of people not moving out of the overtaking lane?'

If the OP really had any concern about the situation he would have pulled in as early as possible and allowed to Golf driver to be on his way, but it appears he'd rather cause frustration to other drivers.
m8 you admit you "couldn't shake him" so clearly you tried it and you're no better yourself, if you don't like the heat- move out of the way (perhaps mutter something under your breath if you must) and then think nothing more of it.
If it is actually your ego at risk, I hope your car has a few horses- feel free to SAFELY ramp him.
on another note, kids have nothing to do with it, what if it was a car full of teenagers? or OAPs? does that make the blindest bit of difference?
Also it's not specifically GTI drivers, I constantly get A3s and VXRs after a bit of sport. I find it's BMW 3 series and A4s that are the usual tail gaters.

To provide a different angle to this...
I currently drive a Golf GTI. I hate it...
I hate the turbo sound/power delivery.
I hate the handling.
I hate the fact that it is a shopping trolley with too much power for the (crap) chassis.
I hate the fuel consumption.
I hate the blue lights on the interior.
I REALLY hate the fact it's the most unreliable car i've ever owned......
BUT ABOVE ALL, I hate the image that it portrays and the way that EVERYONE tries to race you.
Anyone want to buy a MK4 Golf GTI?
