Hi Guys,
doing the SkyRide on Sunday, but having never done it before and not being able to find any nfo on the website i was wondering;
Wehre is the start? and what time do i have to be there? Or is it a case of just rock up at any time and join the route anywhere? I'm slightly confused!! I'll be gettnig the train to waterloo if that helps.

Me too!
There is no start / finish - there is just a circular route that you follow - join and leave at any time. If you fancy cycling there from home or near home, there may be an organised ride leading into Central London - you can find this on the web site http://www.goskyride.com/london down on the right "Events Coming Soon".

Why not enter into the spirit of the event and, er, ride your bike in?

Bit of a problem about the trains though! There's no guard or physical presence at Datchet so don't see how they'll stop us. Worth a shot!

Seriously though, you can turn up at any time and join the route at a number of points. There are stalls and displays all up the Mall. Probably best to bring a picnic as the food stalls are expensive (used to get free sandwiches when it was the 'Hovis Freewheel').
Don't expect to get round particularly quickly though as the course gets *very* congested - more so than when the roads are open to traffic, ironically.

Reverse journey should be fine, after you've crawled round London in the bottom cog, a short cycle <10 miles along the Thames will be a breeze!
