Can't help with an idea but it will not be in the £100's I'm sorry to say.

Have a look at the cost of the bloody stuff on the internet yikes

Had a four bed re guttered in about 2004 and iirc there was little or no change from £2.5k although I could be right out there I know that it really Fing stung.

Is the house guttered all round and is there anything complicated about it - in plan view, is it just a rectangle?

I guess a lot depends on how much you look like you can afford.

£2.5K to do a 4 bed detached house sounds immense though. A couple of years before that we had all the wooden bits - facias, bargeboards and soffits (and guttering and downspouts) ripped off our decent sized 3-4 bed detached house and replaced with plastic. That cost £2250 and afterwards people suggested I'd overpaid.

Don't get white guttering unless you're prepared to clean it (or have it cleaned) now and again!

Type of gutter dictates cost. If you are using plastic, go with something like Hunter as it won't go dull and chalky looking as quickly as something like Floplast. Marley isn't too bad either. A rough guess on all materials would be about £800.00. If it can all be accessed by ladder, although slower, about another £600.00. All a rough guess depending on type/number of downpipes etc.

Last year i had new facsias, soffits guttering and down pipes fitted to a 3 bed semi, cost was approx £800-£900.

get about 3 quotes.

You'll find that big name national companies will cost a lot more so best finding a good local tradesman with a good reputation. Have a look on checkatrade.

Did ours with a mate - 2 big ladders, 1 day, lots of tea and about £200 for parts.

That was approx 25m guttering, 2 downs, lots of brackets etc - used travis perkins high flow in black.

well that was a very pleasant surprise, very professional visit, never even suggested I needed the whole lot doing, listened to the problems we were having and gave me the options.
