saw a car i couldn't identify today

On the M5. Looked like a new McLaren but had exhausts set very high at the back and no vanes on the side intakes. Dark silver/grey in colour. Had transfers on the side that read (I think) SP20. Lovely looking car. No badges at all.
Anyone any idea what it might have been?

+1. It'll have the drivetrain, or suspension or some such from their next model. McLaren do label their pre-production and prototype cars with their numbers, usually just in front of the rear wheels, so sounds like one of theirs.

Yes, it was just in front of rear wheels. That would explain complete lack of badging.
Looked great - didn't have the 'gills' on the air intakes and rear was much cleaner.
